how to work aboard ship for free passage?

I am looking to get a free ride to Australia or New Zealand from the U.S. on a freighter, cargo ship, cruise ship, etc. I want to work while aboard washing decks, cooking or basically anything else. Does anyone have an idea or advice how to begin this search?

   Look for jobs in the freighter recruiting office.

   Calling/contacting certain cruise lines is the best thing you can do. This way you can see if there is an available jobs. Most of the time as long as your working on the ship…you get a free ride where ever you travel.
